Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

The promoter of this prize giveaway is Spellings for Me Limited, Coolkereen, Toomevara, Nenagh Co. Tipperary, Nenagh, Tipperary.

2. Eligibility

1. This promotion is open to UK-based primary and secondary schools, including maintained schools, academies, multi-academy trusts, and independent schools.
   
    
2. Alternative provision settings are eligible to enter provided they meet the minimum entry requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.
   
    
3. Home educators and individual households are not eligible to enter.
   
    
4. Entries must be submitted by a member of staff authorised to act on behalf of the school.
   
    
5. All entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
   
    
6. Only one entry is permitted per school. Multiple entries from the same school will not be accepted.
   
    

3. Promotion Period

1. The prize giveaway opens on 5 January.
   
    
2. All qualifying entries must be completed by 23:59 (BST) on 1 May.
   
    
3. The prize draw will be presented live on Spellings for Me social media channels at 7:00 PM (BST) on 1 July and may be recorded and shared publicly.
   
    
4. Spellings for Me Limited reserves the right to amend the promotion timeline where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its control.
   
    

4. How to Enter

1. To enter, an eligible school must sign up for a Spellings for Me free trial during the promotion period.
   
    
2. A minimum of 15 students must be uploaded to the school’s Spellings for Me trial account.
   
    
3. There is no maximum limit on the number of students that may be uploaded.
   
    
4. Entry is automatic once the eligibility and engagement criteria outlined below are met. No additional form of entry is required.
   
    

5. Qualification and Engagement Criteria

To qualify for entry into the prize draw, at least 90% of all students uploaded to the trial account by the school must complete all of the following during the free trial period:

1. Successfully log in to their individual Spellings for Me accounts.
   
    
2. Complete the Placement Test to establish their personalised starting level.
   
    
3. Complete Yellow Tests to generate a full bank of 48 Learning Words.
   
    
4. Study all 48 Learning Words across a learning cycle (12 words per week over 4 weeks).
   
    
5. Complete the Learning Words Test (orange test), unlocked by the teacher at the end of the cycle.
   
    

The engagement threshold applies to the final total number of students uploaded to the account. For example, if a school uploads additional students after initially meeting the minimum requirement, the 90% engagement threshold will apply to the updated total.

The full learning and testing cycle must be completed within the free trial period. While a four-week cycle is encouraged, responsibility for completion within the trial rests with the entrant.

6. Assessment and Verification

1. Engagement and completion data will be assessed using Spellings for Me platform data.
   
    
2. In fringe or ambiguous cases, Spellings for Me Limited will make a final decision based on overall engagement and involvement.
   
    
3. Spellings for Me Limited reserves the right to verify eligibility and qualification criteria before confirming any winner.
   
    
4. Any entry found to be incomplete, inaccurate, or in breach of these Terms and Conditions may be disqualified.
   
    

7. Prizes

1. Main Prize (1 winning school):
   
   
   • A class set of 30 new Lenovo M9 9" tablets
     
      
   • One free year of Spellings for Me for the winning school
     
      
   • A £500 voucher for the winning teacher
     
      
2. Runner-Up Prizes (5 schools):
   
   
   • One free year of Spellings for Me for each runner-up school
     
      
3. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is available.
   
    
4. Spellings for Me Limited reserves the right to substitute a prize with another of equal or greater value if circumstances require.
   
    

8. Winner Selection and Notification

1. The winning school and runner-up schools will be selected at random from all qualifying entries.
   
    
2. The draw will take place live at 7:00 PM (BST) on 1 July via Spellings for Me social media channels.
   
    
3. Winners may also be contacted directly using the contact details associated with their trial account.
   
    
4. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails eligibility verification, Spellings for Me Limited reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
   
    

9. Publicity

1. By entering this promotion, schools and winning teachers agree that their school name and teacher name may be announced during the live prize draw and in related promotional content.
   
    
2. No additional compensation will be provided for such publicity.
   
    

10. Marketing Consent

By entering the prize giveaway, entrants agree that Spellings for Me Limited may contact them regarding the promotion, the free trial, and relevant Spellings for Me products and services. Entrants may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

Personal data submitted as part of this promotion will be processed in accordance with Spellings for Me Limited’s Privacy Policy, available at:

12. Liability

1. Spellings for Me Limited accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete, or corrupted due to technical issues.
   
    
2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spellings for Me Limited shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in the promotion or acceptance of any prize.
   
    

13. Tax Responsibility

Any tax implications arising from the receipt of a prize are the sole responsibility of the winning school and/or teacher. Spellings for Me Limited accepts no responsibility for such obligations.

14. General

1. Spellings for Me Limited reserves the right to withdraw, amend, or suspend this promotion where reasonably necessary.
   
    
2. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
