Folder Management for Support Teachers

Folder Management for Support Teachers

Support Teachers are responsible for managing their own folders, as they are most familiar with the pupils on their caseload. If you are continuing with the same students as the previous year, they will remain in your folder. If a pupil needs to be removed, you can do so by clicking the "X" beside their username. If you have not created a folder for yourself see HERE for instructions.

Adding a Pupil to Your Folder

To add a pupil to your folder, follow these steps:

Log into your profile.

Click on ‘Administration’.

Select ‘Classes’.

Choose your designated folder. It will turn blue (e.g., Support Teacher Ms. Ralph 2020/2021).

Right-click and select ‘Edit’.

Update the folder name to reflect the new academic year (e.g., Support Teacher Ms. Ralph 2021/2022).

Click on the folder where you wish to add users. It will turn blue.

On the right-hand side of the screen, click ‘Add Member’ to access the full list of users.

Search for the relevant pupils using:

(i) First name OR

(ii) Surname OR

(iii) Username.

Select the pupils to be added by ticking the appropriate checkboxes.

Click ‘Save’.

Important Notes:

Username Format: Usernames are system-generated and consist of the first three letters of the first name + the first three letters of the surname, followed by a number (e.g., John Smith = johsmi33). Searching by full name will not work.

Ensure Self-Addition: Remember to add yourself to the folder to monitor all pupils on your caseload.

Removing a Pupil from Your Folder

If a pupil needs to be removed from your folder, follow these steps:

Click on the relevant class folder.

Locate the pupil on the right-hand side of the screen.

Click the red "X" next to their name to remove them.

Confirm the action.

Note: This action will remove the pupil from your folder but will not delete them from the system.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage your Special Education caseload and ensure accurate record-keeping throughout the academic year.
