Missing Students? A Quick Teacher's Guide to Dashboard Visibility

A concise troubleshooting guide for teachers experiencing student visibility issues in their dashboard, offering step-by-step solutions for resolving access and upload challenges.

As an educator, encountering missing students in your dashboard can be frustrating. This guide will help you troubleshoot and resolve student visibility issues quickly and effectively.

When students aren't showing up in your teacher dashboard, there are two primary scenarios to investigate:

Scenario 1: Students Are Uploaded But Class Access Is Restricted

In this situation, students exist in the system, but you lack proper access permissions. To resolve this:

  1. Navigate to the Administration panel
  2. Select "Classes" from the menu
  3. Locate the specific class folder
  4. Add yourself as the class instructor
Pro Tip: Once you add yourself to the class folder, the system will automatically recognise you as the teacher and display associated student rosters.

Scenario 2: Students Have Not Been Uploaded

If students are completely absent from the system, you'll need to input their information. You have two primary methods:

  1. Bulk Upload via Excel:
    • Prepare a standardised spreadsheet with student details
    • Use system's bulk import functionality
  2. Manual Student Entry:
    • Enter students individually through the dashboard
    • Input required student information
Important: Ensure all student information is accurate during upload to prevent future visibility issues.

By following these steps, you'll successfully troubleshoot and resolve student roster visibility problems, ensuring a smooth administrative experience.
